Blaze Lose Season Opener to Clay-Chalkville 38-7
The Blaze couldn't contain the nationally ranked Cougars on Saturday.
Blackman (0-1) finished with just 171 total yards, including 139 yards on the ground. Miller Armstrong completed 5-of-14 passes for 32 yards. Backup RB Master Teague led the ground game with five carries for 89 yards. His 70-yard run in the fourth quarter set up Armstrong's 1-yard TD run with 9:07 left.

Blaze Freshman Fall to Riverdale 21-20
The freshman team made plays just not enough to overcome struggles in the special teams area. The Blaze gave up a punt and kick-off return for scores.

Junior Blaze Camp 2015
Blaze football players are not born, they're forged from their efforts on the fields of BMS, BHS, various recreation leagues, and other schools throughout Rutherford County. At Blackman High School the coaching staff has announced the dates for the three day Junior Blaze Football camp. For players whose dream it is to someday put on the blue and orange and run through the banner on to Blaze Field under the Friday night lights with Dante and thousands of rabid Blaze fans cheering them on, this is where it all starts. David Watson Named New Head Coach
Blackman High School Football announced today that Interim Head Coach David Watson would be the new Head Coach for the Blaze football program. Watson, who has been at the school since 2010 as an assistant, replaces former coach Philip Shadowens. Watson has been the Blaze's offensive line coach and offensive coordinator during his Blackman tenure. This past year he was the team's defensive coordinator while also continuing to assist the offensive line. He was a former assistant at Riverdale under former coach Gary Rankin and helped Blackman's first coach David Alsup start the Blaze program before becoming Siegel's first coach in 2003.
