Media Center Directed Studies Policy
To visit the Media Center during Directed Studies, students MUST have a Media Center-issued Directed Studies pass. This is so that we may be certain that what the student needs will not conflict with the needs of a class scheduled in the media center.
Students may obtain a Directed Studies pass for the current day anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Please see a Media Specialist for a pass. This is to minimize hallway traffic and so that the media specialists know which students to expect on a given day.
Students must plan ahead to use the media center for research purposes during Directed Studies. Due to the number of Directed Studies classes and high volume use of the media center, please DO NOT call and ask to send students during Directed Studies.
If you wish to bring your class for research, please schedule with one of the Media Specialists well in advance.
Students ARE NOT to use the laminator at any time.
Students may use the workroom only if they have received training from a library media specialist and have a workroom pass.
Scan sheets and scantron machines are available for teacher use. If you have questions, please ask a Media Specialist.
After the Media Center has closed (at 4 p.m.), no students may use the teacher workroom unless a teacher is present to supervise.
